About

Since I can remember I have been sick: A multitude of recurrent infections as a child and young adult, a hysterectomy at age 29 and then, a stage 3C cancer diagnosis at 36. I wanted to be healthy, athletic, full of energy and instead, I was just, sick.

After a year of chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy treatment, I set out on a journey to find a way to heal and thrive. I am not perfect, but I am definitely healthier than than I was yesterday.

Welcome to Healthier than Yesterday

The Why Behind the Blog… Like many any of you, I’ve always enjoyed writing and story telling and have a closest full of half filled journals. In December 2011, I started to tell some of my story publicly as I battled stage 3C breast cancer. I found the process cathartic and even better it connect me to so many people. Over the past seven years, I’ve had so many treasured interactions about health, identity and overcoming fear. I decided it is time to create a space to continue the conversation and travel together on this journey through life. I hope you will join me!
